	2007.12.10  23.12 On Arda, Telimektar was the son of Tulkas and Nessa. He still is, he supposes. On Arda, Telimektar was a constellation, Menelmacar, more universally known as Orion. It was a sweet gig, really, 'cause the views were great and, eventually, Telimektar got to fulfil his primary function on Arda; he got to herald the Dagor Dagorath. He was loathe to enter Órë because there were no openings for harbingers of doom. On Arda, he was able to hide behind a looming, threatening and, occasionally, blindingly bright facade. On Órë, there's nothing remotely threatening about his existence. He struggles to fit in on the ground because, for all of his intelligence, he never quite got to grips with assuming a humanoid form. He thinks he's got a handle on it now, although a few molecules do tend to stray about from time to time, so if he look as though he's glowing, he probably is. (Oh, and he moonlights as a Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics Professor in the University of Ossiriand, mostly because it amuses him.)
